Zone 14 walleye Opener - May 1-4th 2025

May 1 - 4th 2025 Walleye Opener Derby
Rules:
1. Launch at our ramp May 1st 8am - May 4th, 6pm
2. Measure & release your biggest Walleye (Length)
3. Send us a picture, with the measured length along side our verification card. Then pic of the release.
4. Add yourself to our Spanish River Resort and campground page and tell your friends!
5. You are entering on your own free will and understand fishing and boating have unknown variables that can be dangerous or life threatening, even so, you are choosing to enter and take sole responsibility for yourself and your groups safety.
6. Contest runs from May 1st - 8am until Sunday 6pm. May the 4th be with you!
7. Enter contest at your own risk, water and wind conditions can change suddenly
8. This is a Zero alcohol event , water on the water!
9. Entering event constitutes permission to use your pics for promotion purposes and agreement to rules.
10. * Must sign waivers when paying at office. Boat captains are responsible for their crew. If you didn't sign waiver and pickup your verification card, you're not entered.

Zone 10 Opener - May 17th 2025

1 Day Only
Rules:
1. Launch at any ramp May 17th 8am - 4pm.
2. Fish zone 10 and measure your 4 biggest legal Walleye (Combined Length).
3. When you have your limit of your biggest LEGAL ZONE fish, send us the pics with total length.
4. Add yourself to our Spanish River Resort and campground page and tell your friends!
5. You are entering on your own free will and understand fishing and boating have unknown variables that can be dangerous or life threatening, even so, you are choosing to enter and take sole responsibility for yourself and your groups safety.
6. Contest runs from 8am - 4pm Saturday May 17th.
7. Enter contest at your own risk, water and wind conditions can change suddenly
8. This is a Zero alcohol event , water on the water!
9. Entering event constitutes permission to use your pics for promotion purposes and agreement to rules.
10. * Must sign waivers when paying at office. Boat captains are responsible for their crew. If you didn't sign waiver and pickup your verification card, you're not entered.
Cost to participate is $35 per person (does not include boat launch).

January 2024 Contest!

Our first Walleye contest of the year.
To start off our New Year with a bang, we have a Walleye Fishing Contest and its Free to enter!

Contest details:
To be eligible to win you must;
1) Be the first to catch & release 2 Walleye over 24 inches, (since its 2024) anywhere in Ontario, January 15 2024, or after, with a sign saying "I love Walleye Fishing in Ontario!"
2) obey all fishing guidelines and limits
3) all fish caught must be released
4) must be a current and joined member of the Walleye Fishing Ontario facebook page.
5) proof of catch, pic of both fish, length; name of contestant, date verification using a local weather forecast screen shot and the name of lake/waterbody being fished.
6) must have a valid fishing licence, proof will be requested privately
7) the contest is considered over, once a winner is declared and announced on the Walleye Fishing Ontario facebook page.
8) must be 18 years of old or older or with their parent/guardian to enter.

*All contestants wishing to enter the contest do so at their own risk, must complete the entry and liability waiver form. Participants take all responsibility and liability for their actions during their attempt to catch and release fish for the contest. All entering understand ice conditions vary and caution should always be taken when around ice and water bodies. Ice is never "safe". Anyone participating in the contest and sending in pictures understand these conditions and rules and are agreeing to and consenting to abide by the rules of good sportsmanship. The participant also agrees that by entering the contest they will do not hold the contest officials, their partners, coordinators, organizer's, or sponsors liable or responsible in any manner for injury or loss of equipment or fish connected to their involvement in this contest.

Prize to be won is a choice of 1;
1) 2024 Season Boat Launch Pass in Spanish Ontario - For May 1st 2024 - Dec 31st 2024, from the Spanish River Resort & Campground boat launch

2) 1 Day Ice Hut Rental this 2024 Season
